240 unemployed youths got a chance to learn more about skills and tactics that can be used by job seekers as the unique selling points that would help them pass job interviews by convincing employers that they are the best candidates. This training took place from 6 to 9 August, 2018 and was done in partnership with Kigali Employment Service Centre (KESC) and Harambee, an organization based in South Africa.

The training consists of assessment sessions that would start from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The aim was to test the level of participant’s critical thinking and their attitude towards the job. According to Miss Erica Mbanda one of Harambee training team, many practices was made and youths were able to learn from them. “We are dedicated and willing to help African youths to be the best fit for the jobs that they always dream of and, in partnership with different organizations, Harambee believes it will achieve its goal” She concluded

Enock Ndayisabye, a 2016 education graduate from University of Rwanda’s college of Education who pursued Literature and English as his major course, highly appreciated the assessment sessions. “Through my journey as a job seeker, I tried to do different interviews but in most case I would answer irrelevant things which are not even necessary but from these sessions and the practices I have done I am sure and confident that I am really ready for any interview”, he said.
